The tie-dye had special meaning, recalling Plaza’s 2021 reveal that she and Baena wore tie-dye pajamas for their spontaneous wedding. He had taken up tie-dyeing during quarantine, making it a sentimental choice.
Together for a decade before marrying in 2021, Plaza and Baena collaborated on films like Life After Beth. His family called his passing an unimaginable tragedy and requested privacy.
